- Buy or make the stocking. You will need to buy the dog a stocking. At many stores, there are stocking shaped like bones, dogs, etc. Or, you can just buy a plain red stocking, and get iron-on letters to spell the dog's name.
- Determine what to put in it. Include a Christmas collar (if the dog does not already have one), a dog tag, a nylon dog bone, squeaky toys, random toys treats, leashes, Kong toys, dog shampoo/conditioners (you can buy these in a trial size), a comb, and a sweater for the snow (if the dog is small enough and if he likes it). Don't overfill it, and be sure the things are mostly for the dog, and not for yourself.
- Fill the stocking with whatever items you have purchased. Place the biggest toys at the bottom, then the sweater. Then, place any treats/food you have bought last at the top.
- Hang the stocking. Hang it where the dog cannot get it, especially if it looks like a toy or smells like treats. Hang it by the chimney along with everyone else's.
- Wait for Christmas to come, and have fun helping him open and explore his new toys.
- Dog Bones and dog treats and toys are great presents. Especially if your dog is younger
